What are the ‘impairment related work expenses’ regarding social security Disability’?

social security disability

I am disabled, and need my husband to help me get dressed in the mornings, take me anywhere I must go including doctor’s appointments, and do variious things around the home. No employer will work around my doctor’s appointments so that he is able to have time off to take me when I need to go, therefore I work (my brain is fine) and he works part-time. We barely make ends meet and would not without my SSDI check. He would love to work and me stay at home but there’s no one else to take me to the doctor and my employer makes ADA accomodations for me and my time off. Can anyone tell me how the Social Security Administration determines what are impairment related work expenses, and what documents I need? The nearest office is almost 2 hours away and the people are very rude. I really need sincere help with this.

Try using the internet to get the answer or call further afield than the nearest office. If you explain you are disabled, they will most likely help you on the phone.
