start working. talk to your high school counselor see if they can recommend any scholarships. when you’re closer to graduation, find out what college/university you want to go to and talk to their financial aid office. there are plenty of options out therre.

You have plenty of time to search for need and merit based scholarships. Since your father is on disability, you would most likely qualify for Pell grants. Talk with your high school guidance counselor and visit the library to research scholarships. I used fastweb.com to find scholarships. When you apply to college(s) speak to the financial aid office about your family’s financial position because they may have special scholarships available.
Take some time to enjoy life now, too.

your 16 you still have time. when you go to college you have to fill out financial aid. if you are that low with income because it’s based solely on your parents income only then you will most likely get government aid. As for scholarships and grants they are based on mostly your highschool gpa, and your future goal/career you are going into. you can go on fastweb and look at those, but most require you to already have done financial aid and you can’t do that till you are entering college.
