I have heard that it is, yes, but you can only make up to a certain amount of money per year. Check with the IRS.

YES MY MOTHER WAS DISABLED AND HAD A PART TIME JOB. YOU JUST HAVE TO CHECK WITH YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION AND SEE HOW MUCH YOU ARE ALLOWED TO EARN, STAY WITHIN THOSE LIMITS AND YOU’RE GOOD TO GO :)

it will affect your check, but not totally, just a percentage. Like if you made $100 they might take $50 off your disability. I forget the exact numbers. You should go to But if you make too much they will consider you employable

There is a money earning limit but yes you can. Contact a social security attorney and ask if you dont feel comfortable contacting the Social security office with this question.

yes you can get a ticket to work from the SSI but you will lose some of your disability check.

Yes but each dollar you earn after a set amount ($600? I think) counts against your disability check. In other word the more you earn the less you get in disability.

Yes. My father works as much as he chooses and gets social security disability checks every month.

You can work, but if your income from that job exceeds a certain percentage of your check, a corresponding percentage of your check will be cut. Regardless of the cut, you will come out ahead always. It is an incentive to work. Also, if your income exceeds X percent- more than 100%- of your disability check for more than 9 months in a year, your check will be cut entirely as you have the ability to earn that income.

If you can work then you shouldn’t be drawing SSI. This is why Social Security is bankrupt. People sucking it dry and not putting anything back. Good luck with your job I’m sure you will be able to.
