It was due to major depression mainly, but also some physical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, gallbladder disease. All the above have been resolved, but I’m afraid that even discussing this could eliminate me (and I’d never be able to prove that). But, I don’t want to lie.

I’m trying to live on the $698/mo I get from SSI. That $800 tax incentive would be a BIG help. Can I get it, or is it another case of those who need it most being ineligible? I am unable to work due to CHF (congestive heart failure) and depression. Worrying about how to make ends meet each month isn’t helping either of these conditions.

My BF has had some credit card companies for yrs trying to garnish his bank acct….He is recieving social security disability benefits…and wants to know if they can take any money from his acct….As he will be getting a back pay from Social security……thanks

The gov tries ti string it out to starve you to death, It should never take up to two years to get a claim heard and settled.

And not have to live in the projects. Not to put down the projects, I’m sure there are alot of wonderful people that live in that part of a city. Housing programs are implemented to help people with low income get into a house. RIGHT? WRONG!!! I don’t qualify, income too low. So their saying that I’m too poor to get help that is designed to help people with low incomes (social security disabitiy). This is absolutly rediculous. And save the “well at least you have that”,crap. I’d like to see a government offical live on it. HA!!!!!

Anybody have a similar situation? Know how to figure out how much back pay and monthly you will receive? Husband was making around 60,000 a year supporting myself and four children. A year ago he had an accident and had to have hip replacement. The surgery did not fix problem and he had to have another one to replace entire hip now. hes been out fo work for over a year and can never go back to his former work. How much will we get? We recently filed after burning our savings and I am working now but not making near enough to support us all. is there a formula for finding out how much we can expect to be paid back disability and then monthly?

He has a mental disorder, but nothing physical. I think it’s called bi-polar.
Why can he goto Vegas and have a good time while the rest of the U.S. is supporting him.
He says he has been working part time, saved up some money and so he feels he has earned it.
Is he taking advantage of the system?
