I am collecting disability through social security and I worked a job in which I earned $2400; am I eligible for the earned income credit if I file federal taxes. I have no dependents.

I am planning to get married and both of us recieve social security disability. Will this effect our check and what do I need to do before we do marry?

Is there any special form that needs to be filed to receive the tax rebates? I am inquiring for a person I know on Social Security disability who hasn’t filed in the last two years and may be entitled to this tax rebate. Any information or direction would be appreciated.

i just found out that iam pregnant yesterday and iam thrilled! iam deaf in my right ear and i wear a hearing aid in my left ear. iam 33 years old and this is my first child. i have been on social security disability ever since i was 16 years old. my questions is, will that mess up my income? will some of my benefits get cut down or off?

I have been unable to work due to serious illness, but fortunately my husband is employed. We live off of his income as well as my social security disability income (which I contributed to during my years of employment). Unfortunately, we did not set money aside to pay taxes on the disability income, and now are worried about a big tax hit we can’t afford. Will it help if we file “married filing separately” rather than “married filing jointly”?

Does anyone know how much a Social Security Disability check is limited to per month. I am waiting for my first check and I don’t know if it’s going to be broken down or one large check. This is retroactive (back pay) for several years including a dependent. Thanks!

I am on social security disability and I was offered a babysitting job that would give me around 300/month. Is it ok to do this and not loose my benefits. I am asking this question because the parents would want to use my social security number so they could write off as daycare. I don’t want to loose my benefits?
