I am on social security disability and I was offered a babysitting job that would give me around 300/month. Is it ok to do this and not loose my benefits. I am asking this question because the parents would want to use my social security number so they could write off as daycare. I don’t want to loose my benefits?
Can I claim babysitting money while on social security disability?

you are fine, even if you report it. it isn’t that much. you are allowed to make money and that won’t hurt you

you don’t have to report babysitting money while on social security disability. besides on ssd you can earn up to a wee bit over $800 per month before taxes and STILL keep your ssd!!!!!!!!!!!

You should also note that this is your self-employment income. From this income you can deduct your actual expenses to earn this amount. If you net income (income minus expenses) is $400 or more, you must file your return.
Also your entire self-employment income is subject to 15.3% social security and medicare taxes.
