What are the ramifications of getting approved for Social Security Disability? Such as taxes, health care, etc.

I’ve worked all my life and have good job skills and a good education but my health has really deteriorated. I want to go back to work in my homestate. Would I be discriminated against for having a Social Security Disability Check coming in? I called the Social Security about this and they said I could make up to $600 and still draw SS.

I recently watched on the CBS news and then read about how so many people are disabled in the usa and waiting for social security disability hearings. I also read on this blog http://iannellamummolo.blogspot.com/2008/01/cbs-news-disabled-and-waiting-long.html about the same story. I am just wondering how many actual law firms exist in the united states for the specific type of law and who is the best? If that even exists?

My home is paid off. I have applied for social security disability. Will this effect my disability payments.

I am in a Chapt.13 bankruptcy, became diagnosed with a fatal disease, had to quit my job and just now have been approved for Social Security Disability benefits. Will my monthly benefit be considered income regarding my bankruptcy?

Right after my divorce my x claimed he is disabled; took me to court and had child support suspended because he was not working. He believes that he’s paying child support through his disability because the boys recieve some of the benefits; been working but won’t report it to CSEA. C.S.E.A. tells me I can not collect both child support and benefits. S.S.A. tell me social security can not take place of child support. So who is right? Do I have a case? Can’t afford a lawyer; so who or how can I fight this?

If you received a letter from Social Security Disability saying you have qualified for the medical part, but now must wait for the non medical
part to get SSD. Is the non medical part mean can I do another job or what ?? I am confused since I met the medical requirements?
